Introducing the all-new Cloyes

Tested to OE standards. Built to outlast them.

Every Cloyes timing system is validated the way an original equipment program is validated: benchmarked against the OE part, run to failure on our own rigs, and measured against a tolerance sheet before it earns a part number.

Measured at the Component. Validated as a System.

Timing and accessory drive components do not operate independently. Each part must fit correctly, function as intended, and work with every other component in the system.

That is why Cloyes product development goes beyond comparing a new part to a drawing or checking basic dimensions. Depending on the product and application, our engineers evaluate materials, critical dimensions, component function, system fitment, and performance under controlled operating conditions.

It is a disciplined approach shaped by more than a century of experience with mission-critical engine systems.

Our team begins with understanding the original application. Cloyes engineers evaluate component dimensions, materials, operating requirements, and the way each part interacts with the complete system. When an application presents a known fitment, wear, or performance concern, the engineering team also evaluates whether material, design, or component changes can help address it.

The result is not simply a replacement part that looks right. It is a product developed around the requirements of the engine and the repair.

Engine Fitment

Whenever appropriate, Cloyes verifies product and system fitment using representative engine cores. This allows engineers to evaluate installation, component alignment, clearances, and interaction across the assembled system, including the electronic control of VVT components.

Hand-Matched for High Performance

Cloyes Premium Race timing sets are hand-matched by trained technicians. Components are evaluated for fitment and characteristics before the assembled timing set is measured under a controlled load. The set is rotated during measurement to verify center distance and help control runout.

Engineering Confidence, Built-In Testing

From the first measurement to final system fitment, Cloyes engineering focuses on what matters inside the engine: accurate fit, reliable function, and confidence in the repair. Rotomaster also adds specialized turbocharger testing capabilities, including performance mapping, actuator testing, and more.
